If a deposit was not received on the order, the customer will be invoiced 25% of catalog price of the tree.
Delayed ShippingFuture Trees, Inc. is not responsible for delays in shipment due to the carrier's misfortune or neglect. Examples of such an event are a flat tire, getting lost, or delays due to highway construction, etc. If customer delays shipment for more than 60 days past original ship date, Future Trees has the right to cancel order and retain 25% deposit.
Buyer Pick-UpBuyers who wish to pick up their own orders must give 48 hours notice and must provide their own tarps, tie down materials and other materials necessary for safe transport of ordered items.
Out of Season DiggingFuture Trees considers a tree “out of season” when bud-break begins. Out of season digging is available in certain varieties. Due to the extra care needed with a tree dug out of season, an additional fifteen percent (15%) will be added to the total order.
UnloadingFuture Trees Inc. is not liable for any damage or injuries to persons, property or ordered items, which may occur during unloading or installation of ordered items. EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN LIFTING AND MOVING ROOT BALLS . Strappings, as well as wire baskets can break or loosen. STAND CLEAR OF ROOT BALLS AT ALL TIMES . Make certain your equipment is rated to adequately handle the weight of the trees you are lifting or moving.
InstallationThe synthetic strapping material used to lift and move the tree will not rot. However, both the wire basket and the burlap around the root ball will deteriorate over time. As a result, the synthetic strapping material MUST BE REMOVED PRIOR TO COMPLETION OF PLANTING. On the other hand, Future Trees does not recommend removing either the burlap around the root ball or the entire wire basket. Simply remove the top section of the wire basket down to the first horizontal ring once the tree is in its final position and stable. Completely removing the wire basket or burlap covering will VOID any warranties offered by Future Trees.
Pre-Dug Tree CareOften our pre-dug trees are plastic wrapped in addition to the fabric liner we attach to the outside of the basket. It is important to remove the plastic wrap and fabric liner prior to planting. It is best to remove them while the plant is suspended above the planting hole so that soil will not be lost en route to the planting hole.
